Marketing Director

The marketing director develops Babies Come True’s overall marketing strategy, and oversees the planning and execution of marketing, communications, and events for the organization. 

Responsible for brand strategy, digital marketing, and campaign development, the marketing director must be a self-starter, with a successful track record of driving measurable results in other roles within the third-party reproduction or healthcare fields. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading an effective marketing strategy to propel company growth, working cross-functionally with BCT staff as well as vendors, contractors, agencies, media, and clients.

Most marketing activity will center around growing BCT’s pool of gestational carriers and egg donors, as well as developing relationships with referral sources such as family building organizations and fertility clinics.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of an organization brand strategy, manage brand messaging, and develop and implement consistent brand communication across various channels and touchpoints
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans inclusive of sales targets, key accounts, and key growth markets. Strategies should be aligned with data collected from CRM, marketing automation, and analytics collection systems
  • Perform routine competitive analyses, monitor industry trends, and identify new opportunities
  • Manage and optimize, or work with external agency to optimize, SEM and SEO strategies and tactics
  • Research and advise on a trade-show, event, and sponsorship strategy with BCT principals
  • Lead regularly scheduled marketing meetings with principals, sales representatives, and occasionally with the entire BCT team, to convey marketing plans and ensure that all marketing needs are being met
  • Work with sales representatives to develop compelling sales presentations and tools that communicate value proposition
  • Oversee the development of all marketing and advertising collateral, including messaging, layout, and visual design
  • Develop and promote thought leadership / blog articles with subject matter experts to promote BCT
  • Develop and execute, or work with external public relations agency to develop and execute, PR campaigns to increase BCT visibility and position its principals and managers as thought leaders and industry experts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, journalism or another related field required. (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years of marketing experience, showcasing experience of at least 5 years in third-party reproduction or healthcare related marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in developing, launching, monitoring, and optimizing digital campaigns
  • Experience developing cost-effective social and digital marketing strategies
  • Record of increasing responsibility within marketing
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to select and manage external vendors as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive) and 365 products
  • High proficiency with a CRM, marketing automation tools, and analytics
  • Fluency in English mandatory and additional languages desirable
  • Experience working with the LGBTQ+ community advantageous
